OUR TEA

this is a list of our current offerings. All teas are loose leaf.

BLACK

ENGLISH BREAKFAST

This Selected broken Assam and Sumatra teas form the basis for an extremely yielding quality which is strongly reminiscent of East Frisian blends. A dark infusion with malty spiciness, at its best when slightly sweetened and with a dash of milk or cream.

ASSAM JONAK

Jonak teas are produced at the Sonarie Tea Estate, in Assam’s Sibsagar district. “Jonak” means “Assam’ moonlight” in the local language. The history of these tea gardens traces back to 1874. The tea bushes thrive on a chain of hills knows as “tillas” and confer a pronounced aroma and an exciting taste. A medium-large leaf and golden tips surprises with its pleasant malty spiciness.

EARL GREY

In 1833, Earl Grey, the Earl of Howick Hall, and at the time British Prime Minister, suspended the price monopoly which the East India company had enjoyed at China’s expense. The originally pure Chinese tea was lightly flavoured with fine bergamot oil to protect the tea from mould and tar, which could form during long sea voyages. It is the embodiment of the finest English tea.

GREEN

JASMINE

In China whole green leaf teas are traditionally scented with layers of jasmine flower. The petals are harvested during the day and stored cool at night in order to bloom and release their full fragrance. Petals are sifted out after processing. Light to stronger delicate floral flavours and tastes with a light, slightly yellow color, spreading an intense bouquet of jasmine.

GREEN MENTHOS

High-quality Chinese ‘gunpowder’, the finest American spearmint and an intense natural crisp mint flavour combine in a special taste experience, Aromatic, lively yet rich, this exciting composition delivers a fine aroma and scent. Ideal as an iced tea on hot days.

CHAI

SPICY CHAI

This classic chai tea is pleasant and strong in flavour. The intense taste comes from select ingredients like aniseed, cinnamon and ginger. Milk and sugar should be added to achieve the ultimate taste sensation.

RED CHAI

Hot and spicy ingredients, lends the Rooibos base a fine, exotic taste. Traditional chai ingredients such as aniseed, ginger and cinnamon and the mellow taste of Rooibos form an ideal blend. Suitable for those avoiding caffeine.

FUSION

CHAMOMILE

A chamomile of very high quality, with evenly sized small pieces, all hand-sorted. Chamomile has been drunk since the Neolithic Age.

ROOIBOS “Red Bush”

A high-quality Rooibos tea identified by its ruby color and the soft, sweet, characteristic aromatic taste. The leaf sends out long needles.

ORANGE PASSION

Shining orange papaya flakes, enhanced by light, tangy, green tea flavour is supported by fresh lemon grass.

ROASTED ALMOND

An acid-free base with sweet apple pieces and red colours from added beetroot. Flavour notes are from sweet, roasted, caramelized almonds. A taste experience your palate will love.
